Castle Meadows, St Agnes

This property in St Agnes required a remodel to fulfil the needs of their growing family. As a 1970’s miners home it was outdated with poor insulation, archaic heating and poor-quality windows.

The project’s scope was to upgrade the insulation & central heating system, split the first floor into three rooms, add an en-suite and increase the natural light with new windows and skylights. As the demolition started, Warvena discovered that the property’s lintels had failed after being undersized for the spans so following an emergency meeting with the client and engineers, Warvena rapidly put in temporary works and began to replace the defected lintels. Succeeding this the original scope was quickly continued and after just 8 weeks the property was handed back to the client.

Testimony – “We are really satisfied and have been at every stage of the project. The quality of the finished work is excellent, the professionalism and courtesy shown throughout has been first class. Whenever there were unexpected hurdles or difficulties Warvena went out of their way to keep the project on track, making sure that things didn’t spiral out of control.

We trusted the Warvena team from the start and knew they would deliver a quality job. We never doubted that we’d made the right choice.”
